Hello all, Just an update for all those who live or work in my wards about what I have been up to since the last time I posted. Reports have continued to come in from residents about road traffic issues. This has been raised as a priority for both my wards. In addition to the work mentioned last time, I have since been continuing to engage with councillors and residents about new Speedwatch initiatives, and have seized a vehicle for no insurance which was seen driving at speed (the driver received a traffic ticket). I am aware of areas flagged as being particularly troublesome and will be targeting these with extra patrols.I have been assisting local response teams with a high volume of calls due to the recent summer demand across all of Thanet. This has included medical incidents, serious assaults, domestics and incidents of criminal damage. Two separate arrests have been made by me during my patrolling of persons wanted for domestic offences. Both were dealt with in custody by detectives and has allowed victims to be safeguarded promptly. I have carried out six stop searches across the Isle. Three of these searches led to the recovery of drugs as well as other concerning items which were seized and will be destroyed. Three out of court disposals were issued aimed at curbing future offending.Across my wards I have been dealing with neighbour disputes, contacting the local Community Warden to collaborate on certain issues, dealing with traffic issues, and conducting evidence capture in my wards to assist our investigation teams.Warm regards, |
